This abstract crayon sketch is inspired by the metamorphis of Manet, but on the other hand it is something totally different. Deeper meaning? Just enjoy it! Should be enough, right?

Keith Haring is well known for his moving figures. Quoting his characters in a rough and desctructive way refers to the complexity of our modern society. Simplicity is outdated. This puppet breaches its shell to show its true self: not being limited to a color or move, just being itself. 

The tale of the Ninja Turtles is impressive, but compared to this Ninja Elephant? Come on! I now this is kind of childish, but I really like the look of it. There is not much left from the real animal, but it looks exactly like what you imagine an elephant standing on two legs would. Without the armory of course. I googled how they actually look when they are  rearing up, far less impressive than this heroic warrior!

Painting with watercolors has a huge advantage over acrylic paint, smooth transitions come naturally. The main difficulty is to keep sharp edges where needed.
